    Wildlife Observation of Nevada

    Nevada is a land of unique animals with interesting features. South Nevada is a home to some venomous snakes. Apart from this mule deer, bighorn sheep, elk, antelope, black bear, beaver, raccoon, brush rabbit, kit fox, mountain lion are too found here. Beautiful birds reside here which include American crow, golden eagle, great horned owl, northern flicker. The snakes come out in the spring. Hikers are told to take precautions from the attack of the snakes. Activity of birds like hawks and eagles are noticed in winters.They are mostly present on the Moopa Valley of the city and can be seen through binoculars and spotting scopes. Waterfalls are also found here.

    Hunting is one of the favourite activities in Nevada. A wildlife friendly environment has been made by the urban development which attracts various wildlife species.The presence of these species is a direct invitation to the predators.The landscape with the trees is the source of food and shelter to several species.The extreme climatic conditions is a hindrance to the development and growth of animals. Here the threatened species serve as a red flag to the health of the environment.

    One of the major threat to wildlife conservation is changing of shrubs into other vegetations. A department “Nevada department for Wildlife” has been brought into form for the protection of the species. Safe boating is also ensured through this. Nevada Wildlife Federation is another organisation developed to probe into this matter which also updates with the species management programme. Diversification in Nevada is unique in itself and the state is talking certain actions to preserve this heaven on planet Earth.
